My career has taken me in many unexpected and interesting directions, and I'm not done yet. I am grateful to have had opportunities to work in roles related to research, recruiting and human resources, international education, marketing, and media and publishing. I currently work in higher education recruitment and admissions.

Taking a brief trip backward in time, my first role upon returning to the U.S. included information services, corporate blog coordination, library resource and archive management, materials collection, and special projects for an international (U.S.-headquartered) computational research company.

In Taiwan, I focused on recruitment and onboarding of international English teachers as well as staff development, team management, human resources, social media management, content creation and editing, and marketing. I have also published two children's storybooks via HESS International Educational Group.

Previous to my work in Asia, I had great opportunities to work as a copy editor and/or designer for newspapers, magazines and web publications based in Arizona, Illinois, and Texas.

This portfolio includes some of the more visual materials from these endeavors.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism with an English minor from Eastern Illinois University and a Master of Education degree with a concentration in international teaching from Framingham State University.
